Yearly Donations Drive – 2024-Now
Breast cancer unfortunately affects many of the women in our clubs and our communities, and we are on a mission to do something about it. We’ve partnered with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation in the US and the Olivia Newton-John Cancer & Wellness Centre in Australia to raise funds and awareness for this cause.
Each year in November (breast cancer awareness month), all our clubs across the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand compete to raise funds, participate in a bra-decorating contest and the annual Walk for Wellness in Melbourne, Australia. We have also designed a commemorative line of merchandise to support fundraising.
Yearly Charity Event
Boxes of Love is exactly what it sounds, a box of love given to someone in need of some care. Our clubs chose a local cause they cared about, and organised the collection of 10 most-needed items per box. Our members came together to generously donate these items and spread a bit of love.
Our boxes provided much-needed support for mothers, children, women in the community and victims of crime. They further our mission of always giving back to the local community, as that’s what Curves is at heart, a community.
Curves has been working closely with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund to raise both money and awareness for the fight against breast cancer. This is a deeply personal mission to Curves, as we have all known club members and their families who have been affected by breast cancer. We hold a yearly fundraising event across the USA and Canada.
In Australia and New Zealand, we raise funds for the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute in Melbourne, Australia. We are also a big contributor to their yearly Walk for Wellness fundraiser walk.
